About Halstead House
Hello and welcome to Halstead House, I'm happy you're here. My name is Genevieve Belmaker, the founder and owner. I am an author, journalist, photographer, artist and experienced international traveler.
My creations and projects become living works of art, and are inspired and informed by decades of living and working all over the world. My coaching clients accomplish goals and gain a deeper confidence in their own ability to create, travel and reflect their inner experiences through their work and life.
Halstead House is a destination for home goods, decor, art and refurbished furnishings. We are meant for people who care about making their home reflect their personality, memories and aspirations. If you found us, that means you are someone who wants to find a means of expression through how you live daily life.
We're a woman-owned, family-run business that is rooted in the values of community - on a global scale. What we each do in our corner of the world can have reverberations across the globe. The name Halstead House is inspired by my reverence for family and history. Halstead is a distinguished European ancestral line of my family that began to immigrate to America 400 years ago and eventually joined with the Yakama Nation branch. I honor both my European and Indigenous roots in every aspect of my work.
I do all kinds of things at Halstead House, including refurbishing, sourcing and making one-of-a-kind items for your home, some of which you can see on this site.
I also use my experience and talents as an expert in international and domestic U.S. travel, journalism and publishing to help others through 1-1 coaching sessions.
